Busy Summer for Grambo

So much to do, so many people to see! Summer camp is well underway - actually almost over with only a couple weeks left... we'll be glad to have Daddy back (at least most evenings, as the camp will stay busy with rental groups into the fall). Graham loves all the activity and attention from campers and staff.

A couple of weeks ago, Graham got his first plane ride in. He and I went to Michigan for Grandma's Retirement celebration. My mom retired from her ministry with FBC Howell after 30 years of service. It was a fun weekend with lots of surprises. We got to spend lots of time with Uncle Nate and Aunt Staci, Mamie and Grandpa Pood, too. I was asked to preach during the worship service, and was honored to wrap up Mom's ministry with her. Mom will still be teaching music at Livingston Christian, and helping dozens of kids learn piano. We're looking forward to seeing more of Grandma and Grandpa in Nebraska, too :)!

After our trip to Michigan, Grandma and Grandpa drove Grandma's fancy new ride out to Nebraska where they met up with Aunt Anita and Uncle Bob at our house! It was another super fun couple of days. One of the days we headed down to the Omaha (Henry Doorly) zoo. It's a great zoo with great exhibits - one of our favorites. Graham had more fun watching people than animals, but was pretty fixated on the penguins, and other fish in the aquarium.

Between visits and camps, Graham is learning to crawl - he gets around the house (too well!) army crawling, and is rapidly moving toward crawling on hands and knees. He loves to walk holding on to big people hands. He's well on his way to eating us out of house and home, but still no teeth to chomp the good stuff. His new favorite activity is splashing in the pool - he just goes crazy. Graham is definitely his father's child with a GREAT love for all things outdoors. Craig got a new tent for his birthday... I'm sure there are some backyard campouts in store after summer camps are over!
